An Abstract of the Contents

The Editorial: It handles the importance of studying the common Islamc questions concerning the unity of the ranks of the Muslims, and the necessity of mutual arguments among all the Islamic schools of thought, to study the sensitive issues which face our Islamic ummah. For example, we may refer to the topic of "The Islamic Goverment" which was discussed by the tenth Internatonal Conference  on Islamic Unity.

the " rapprochment " word

By the Secretary General, Shaykh Muhammad Wa'iz Zadeh al-Khurasani.  It refers to the obstacles in the way of the Islamic unity after that he had , in the first part, explained the factors of the Islamic unity, dividing them into principal and secandary factors.

Qur'anic studies

In this field we publish part 4 of "The Qur'anic Stories" by Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al - Hakim, in which he handles the objectives of the Qur'anic stories in some parts of Moses story.

Khameini's speech addressed to the Conference's guests.

It also includes summmaries of the papers offered to the Conlerence, covering:

* The position of Islamic Regime among the current regimes in the world.

* The form of the Islamic Government, its foundations, objectives, ambiguities raised around it and the challenges it encounters.

 

juristic studies:

In this issue there are two studies about fiqh: the first is under the title : "Coercion" , by Shaykh Ahmad al Bahadli. It is a comparative stuby based on the sunni and Shiite sources, explaining the attitude of the Muslim individual and the Muslim community when facing imposed conditions.

The second is under the title of "marriage Portion", by Shaykh Muhammad Mahdi Najaf . It is a comparative juristic stuby about women's marriage portion in connection to their rights and personalities.

 

Litreary essays:

There is in this issue a research under the title of "The Islamic Governwent in the view of the poet, al - Kumayt ibn Zayd", by Dr. M. A. Adharshab. The essay surveys this poet's points of view concerning the good and the bad governments, extracted from his

poems known as "al - Hashimiyyat".

 

Terminology

There is in this issue a research, by Shaykh Ahmad al - Muballighi, about the terms "Supererogatory" and "Satisfaction", both of which are of the juristic terms.

 

"rapprochment" document

Here we publish two letters exchanged between the Secretary General of the world forum for rapprochment of Islamic schools of thought Shaykh Wa'iz Zadeh and The General Mufti ot the Saudi Arabiea Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Baz. The two letters contain an argument about the disputed subject of asking the blessings and the intercession of the Prophet and the Holymen.

Two books: "Asbab Ikhtilafil Fuqaha'", by Dr. Abdullah at - Turki, and "Al - Mawsu'atul Muyassarah Lil Adyan wal Mazdhahib", edited by The International Centre of the Islamic Youths.
