Editorial

The Eighth Summit of The organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) is discussed in editorial. This meeting was held in a very critical situation of Muslim World, yet it was unanimously acclaimed the most successful summit of OIC. The reusons of this a chievement, as well as the hopes stemming from it, are dealt with.

Due to the significance of this speech and its important points pertaining to the matters of unity and spiritual elevation of Muslim world, the full text of the speech, together with some notes, is printed here.This period of OIC'S activities is regarded as fairly hopeful by Imam Khamene'i and the responsibilities of its members are very grave.

Two Qur'anic researches are published in this issue, first of which is the sixth part "Qur'anic stories" by Mr. S.M.B. Hakim, wherein the points related to the story of Moses in Qur'an are reviewed. The second one is part 2 of Sheikh M.M.Assefi's research on "The words of Abraham in Qur'an," wherein the words "Da'avah" "Fetnah" and "Ebtela" are studied.

This study is done by Sheikh M. Vaez-zadeh Khorassani, the Secretary General of "World Proximity Assembly" titled "Sirah, sunnah and their sources" in which the difference between seerah and sunnah has been shown, as well as the various meanings of Sunnah.

Here, sayyed Monder Hakim observes the texts of seerah according to Qur'an under the title of "An Introduction to study the Prophetic Seerah and the History of Original Islam".

 

Historic  essays

In this article, Dr. M.A. Azarshab discusses the stands of "Akbar Khan" of Islamic sects. This article attempts to survey the endeavours of Akbar for settling religious discrepancies, as well as his misdeeds in these endeavours.

A book named "Ruh - al-Sala Fi-al-Islam" (the spirit of prayer in Islam) authored by sheikh Afif Tabbarah is reviewed here. In addition to the discussion of prayer according to the jurispridition (Fiqh) of sunni school" a chapter on the matter of prayer in Shi'i school is observed by the author. The style of the book is approachment and the author's elevating and scholastic aims are clearly seen.
